Why Thyborøn Stevedore
At Thyborøn Stevedore, we have a number of long-standing partners, enabling us to offer collection of goods by ship or truck in Denmark, Norway, and the UK.
The goods are transported to our warehouses in Thyborøn or Hvide Sande, where they are stored under agreed conditions until they are forwarded.
As part of the solution, we check the contents and quality upon receipt and again upon dispatch. At the same time, we maintain full control of inventory at all times.
The solution often includes dispatch and packing of deliveries for specific customers or destinations.
Warehousing and distribution solutions
Registration and batch management
For our customer Polar Seafood, we receive pallets of frozen fish for consumption, typically caught in the North Atlantic and to be distributed worldwide.
Upon receipt, we register quantities and batch numbers, while also labelling the pallets with clear identification.
The fish is then placed in cold storage, where it is kept until it is called off.
Fish is called off daily and picked for each individual truckload. In this connection, the product’s temperature, labelling, and packaging are checked.
During loading, data on the carrier, vehicle, and container are recorded, after which the vehicle is sealed.
All data is then sent to the customer, who arranges export documents, etc.
Efficient construction logistics from Denmark to Norway
For our customer BMC A/S, we handle the delivery of various construction materials to Norway. The materials are collected by truck from around Denmark and transported to Thyborøn, where they are registered and placed in storage.
The products are then shipped to Norway, where, prior to each port call, we marshal them for the individual call destinations.
